My husband and I spent two nights here in September for a mini honeymoon and it was an absolute dream! Such a unique stay, with the most amazing scenery. It's the perfect combination of isolated backcountry camping, but with the luxury of a bed! We will absolutely be back!
Moat lake is one of the most special places I’ve ever been to. No matter if it’s sunny or pouring rain, I’m always blown away how beautiful it is there. The combination of its history and its hosts, makes this one of the most unique and special places on the island!
This little slice of Heaven will restore your body and mind. Rest your souls on this tranquil piece of paradise. The island and its wonders are calling, alpine views, crystal clear waters, wild berries, and maybe a marmot sighting! I have been luckey enough to make it out to Stuart Wood Isl 3 times now and each time is more magical than the last. Words and pictures can’t describe how beautiful and special this gem is<3
I’ve been fortunate enough to know the Wood family for most of my life, and even more fortunate have spent so much time at Moat Lake. I don’t think I could design a more magical, epic or beautiful place to be if my life depended on it. Hands down my favourite place on earth, and where I’ve had many if not all of my favourite memories. If you like hiking, swimming, fishing, skiing, exploring, or just sitting by the lake and enjoying the view, this place is for you. A lifetime here won’t be enough and the Woods are some of the most welcoming and genuine people I know. 100000oooooo/10.
